Oura Ring Gen 4 announced on October 15th that the Oura Ring 4 is available for regular shipment and claims that the fourth generation version is more comfortable to wear and has smarter algorithms than all previous versions.
With new smart sensing technology built into the Oura Ring 4, monitoring is more accurate and battery life is longer than ever before. Multiple sensors form an 18-path, multi-wavelength photoelectric volumetric profiling (PPG) subsystem that provides highly accurate, continuous data around the clock.
Design and Materials
The Oura Ring 4 has a different look and materials this time around than all previous versions, with a full titanium exterior and interior and a 0.3mm recessed internal sensor.
Health Monitoring
The Oura Ring 4 has also received a feature upgrade with the addition of Automatic Activity Detection (AAD), Fertility Window, and Daytime Stress. Cardiovascular age health monitoring and aerobic capacity estimation have been added for heart health.
Sizes and Colors
The Oura Ring 4 comes in a wider variety of sizes and colors and starts at $349. Sizing covers sizes 4-15 to meet the needs of a wider range of consumers; colors have increased to six (black, silver, brushed silver, gold, rose gold, and invisible black) from the previous five colors.
